Matt Steacy

M.Arch

Matt is an ambitious and passionate designer and project manager who joined our team in 2021. He received his Bachelor of Architectural Studies from Carleton University and his Master of Architecture from the McEwen School of Architecture.

His master’s thesis focussed on: the relationship between inside and outside in architecture; exploring architecture that reconnects inhabitants with the landscape while providing comforting and cozy private spaces. He believes one of the most beautiful and important aspects of architecture is creating magic in the moments between outside and inside and exploring the relationship between these two counterparts in a way that creates something unique to each project.

Matt’s professional experience includes over 5 years in the architecture field including a wide variety of project types, leaving him well-versed in steel, wood, and concrete construction methods. His professional experience also includes a cumulative 4 years of carpentry work.

Outside of the office, he can be found crafting wood and metal, whether it be a small woodworking project or a full-scale frame-off automotive restoration.
